Dipanjan Guha’s journey in time and space

It was a sublime evening at Maya Adda on the 1st of May. The adda session at Maya Art Space which took place on that day, was completely dedicated to the myriad hues of music. The theme of the adda session was ‘Colours of notes.’

Every musical note has its own colour, power and significance. The ragas offer different colours, moods, melodies and emotions based on the significance of the notes. Eminent sitar player belonging to the Senia Maihar gharana, Dipanjan Guha, along with Chiranjit Mukherjee on tabla, demonstrated this concept by playing various ragas like Hangshadahani, Bhopali, Durga and Megh. Just by changing one note, one raga transformed to the other and weaved a magical tale of music at Maya Adda Space.
