Next time you go to Buxa Tiger Reserve in North Bengal, be prepared to stay outside the forest. And that’s for the good of the tigers. Too many hotels that were allowed to mushroom within the premises of the reserve had played havoc with the tiger habitat.
National Green Tribunal has ordered closing down and demolishing all hotels within the Buxa Tiger Reserve’s core area including the government tourist lodge.
