US military bans transgenders

'Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.' Well, that's what US President Donald Trump said about transgenders yesterday. He announced a ban on transgenders from serving in the military in any capacity or post. Though the President is known for coming up with weird proposals, he insists this was done after a proper consultation with generals and military experts.

This sudden move reverses the transgenders' hard-won rights during the Obama administration to serve in the military. By some accounts, there are 15,000 transgender personnel in the US military. Will they all then lose their jobs?
