Born and brought up in Hooghly district of West Bengal, Gopal Roy is a painter by profession. He has been associated with art galleries in Delhi and abroad. His works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. At present, besides being a full-time painter, Roy teaches at a college in Bengal.

In this time of distess, it is difficult to stay calm and patient. We do not know what awaits us the next day.
Roy has blended colours and figures on the canvas to create a serene poster bringing out the the positive aspect of the present scenario.
