Kolkata goes creative during Lockdown with first ever ‘Isolation’ movie

And here comes the first feature film made during Lockdown days. To take a creative route during these trying times, multi award winning independent filmmaker Amartya Bhattacharyya, has come up with a feature film named ‘Made in Isolation.’ As he puts in: ‘This is perhaps the first feature film made under the lock down.’

The film is around 1 hr 15 mins duration and made inside a 16 feet x 10 feet room, with no crew or external resources.  Literally saying this is a movie made in isolation. It’s written, shot, directed and edited by Bhattacharyya, who is currently in isolation in the city of Bhubaneswar. Kisaloy Roy, the young award-winning music composer has composed the music in isolation from his residence in Kolkata. The film is produced by Priyanka Ghosh Roy, who also has a special appearance in a very special way. She is also in isolation in Kolkata. ‘Made in Isolation’ is Bhattacharya’s second Bengali feature film, the first being ‘Runanubandha’ which was part of the prestigious Moscow International Film Festival, Kolkata International Film Festival, and around 20 international festivals across the world and had bagged 4 international awards.
