Kolkata and districts to get more Kaviar meat shops

The West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation (WBLSDC) are setting up Kaviar outlets to offer exotic dishes like gondhoraj rabbit, duck mussallam, duck roast, quail curry and many other exotic lamb and goat dishes.

The Kaviar shops will operate across different parts of Kolkata and also from seven districts of Bengal, which will also sell both frozen raw meat and dressed and processed meat items. Gaurishankar Konar, WBLSDC Managing Director, said: “We are setting up the Kaviar meat shops in the city and in the District Magistrate’s office complexes in Burdwan, East and West Midnapore, Alipuduar, Jalpaiguri, Bolpur and Howrah.”

The prime attraction of these shops will surely be the exotic meat dishes and ready-to-eat meat dishes. Cooked meat dishes were a huge hit at the Aahare Bangla food stalls, held in New Town recently. Within the main city, the Kaviar shop has already been launched at Patuli off EM Bypass and also in Salt Lake.
