Kolkata will see its first hi-tech bar-coded car parking system in place during the Fifa Under-17 World Cup. The Bidhannagar Police have laid an elaborate plan to ease the parking problems. There will be a provision of 3000 vehicles to get bar-coded stickers. The stadium will also accommodate 150 vehicles belonging to Fifa and VVIPs.
A separate drop point for app cabs will also be designated along with drop off vehicles which will take visitors to the entry point is vehicles are parked a kilometer away.
