World’s largest petroleum firm set to invest
Speculation is rife that one of the world’s largest oil and natural gas companies, Aramco, owned by Saudi Arabia government, might soon invest in TCG run oil refineries of Haldia and also in some downstream projects of Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. Representa-tives of the company that has both the world’s second largest proven crude oil reserves and second largest daily production met the chief minister, Mamata Banerjee, at Nabanna yesterday.
They discussed possibilities in oil exploration, downstream petroleum production, refining and marketing.
