WBLDCL's Kalyani Feed Milling Plant : a shining example of practical learning and livestock innovation – GetBengal story

Recently, WBLDCL-KFMP played host to 60 MBA students from Tripura University, who immersed themselves in an insightful orientation-cum-exposure session. They explored the entire ecosystem of feed production for animals, poultry, and fish—an eye-opening experience that offered real-world insights into industry operations, innovations, and trends. Nowadays industrial training is important in filling the gap between classroom learning and practical use, as it provides students with valuable hands-on experience, skill upgradation, networking benefits, and career preparation. WBLDCL's Kalyani Feed Milling Plant (KFMP) is a shining example of how an industrial operation can extend its role beyond conventional production to function as a site of learning and inspiration.
From its state-of-the-art facility to the industry experts who manage it, KFMP not only provides glimpses into the complexities of making animal, poultry, and fish feed but also invites prospective entrepreneurs to experience up close innovation, operational excellence, and best industry practices.
The ARD Department's larger mission—carried out through WBLDCL—is to implement livestock projects, assist farmers, facilitate food processing infrastructure, and develop sustainable agribusiness entrepreneurship.
