Teenager from Bengal conquers English Channel

Crossing the English Channel is no big deal these days, but when a 19-year-old teenager from Bengal crosses the channel at one go, then that makes for a rare feat. Teenager Sayani Das made to the big league by crossing the English Channel in just 14 hours and 8 minutes and that too in the first attempt.

Sayani, who is pursuing her BA course from Srirampore College joins the elite team of swimmers from Bengal, like Arati Saha, Bula Chowdhury and Reshmi Sharma, who had also crossed the channel. Like her coach Tamal Das, we all are proud of this teenager's achievement.
