RK Mission Belur bags highest NAAC score
The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute brings in pride by being the only institute from Bengal to bag the highest score A+++ in the recent evaluation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). This was the first time in history that NAAC assessed the fourteen year old institute in Belur. Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute was always known for its academic excellence and for following a university education system based on the vision of Swami Vivekananda. The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute also operates from Narendrapur, Ranchi and Coimbatore.
The Belur institute has got a cumulative grade point average of 3.66 out of 4 which is an unparallel achievement in the very first cycle of NAAC. The latest round of assessment was based on eight point evaluation introduced by NAAC. In the old format, the entire assessment was based on the reports of the inspection teams of NAAC. The new format is however different. 70 percent of the assessment is based on the validation and verification of data provided by the educational institutes while the rest is based on the reports of the NAAC inspection teams. There were however many criterion that were considered important for the assessment which includes the quality of teaching, research and innovation and learning and evaluation.
The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute offers varied programmes like undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma in varied subjects like Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Disability Management, Disaster Management, Sanskrit, Yoga, Agriculture and Rural and Tribal Development.
NAAC, in its report has mentioned strengths of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute for which it has been able to bag the highest score. According to the report, the institute has been able to serve the mankind relentlessly without any distinction of gender, caste, creed, race, nationality, race or any other factor when it comes to health, education, rehabilitation and relief and rehabilitation since the time of its inception. NAAC has also praised the institute for standing by its vision by imparting education and value for harmonious development. The Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute has been appreciated for having an impeccable work culture and highly competent and qualified faculty.
