Paintings by children bond Russia and India

They came from all over Bengal, be it Jalangi, be it Barrackpore or even Kolkata itself. Their buzz filled the Nandan campus and their mission and works stole all hearts. The Indo-Russian ties got a boost at the RICE organized painting exhibition of the 2nd International Child Painting Competition ‘Russia - My Love.’

The inauguration of the exhibition

Imagine, both Russian and Indian children bringing to life their love for their respective countries and for each other. Love is the only positive bond in this world of war and strife and when children advocate it through vibrant and innovative paintings, it has a different message to convey. The exhibition was graced by Mikhail Gusev, the Vice Consul of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, Pratyush Ghosh, DGM of Metro Railway, Unus Molla, Director of the International Business Management Centre, Dilip Das, Chief Judge of this competition and Jayanti Acharya. Biman Bhattacharya of RICE said: “We shall be conducting many such sessions in Kolkata to bring Russian culture, art and tradition to the forefront, as our country has so much in common with them.”
