Food Park coming up for Sector V’s IT hub

Now eating out in Sector V, specially during lunch hours will no more be a problem. Keeping in mind the lunch time crowd, mostly comprising employees of innumerable IT companies dotting Sector V and New Town areas, state government is coming up with a new food park. Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority and New Town Kolkata Development Authority have planned a food park with multi-level car parking on a one-acre plot behind Technopolis.

Many of the food stalls will be run by NGOs and special fire-fighting arrangements will be in place. While, corporates are being encouraged to adopt food kiosks on the pavement. Webel is said to be designing the food kiosks.
