Duare Sarkar

IHow does it feel when the State Government comes knocking at your doors, to help you with a variety of social schemes that will benefit you all? Well, the feeling is that of being pampered and a sense of relief, specially in times of COVID-19 when each of our lives seem to have gone topsy-turvy. Duare Sarkar is the unique outreach programme launched by the West Bengal government, where benefits of specified government schemes and services will be delivered to targeted beneficiaries at their doorsteps, through camps organised at the level of Gram Panchayat/ Municipality Ward. The entire state machinery has been geared up to fulfill this mission and ensure its success. Starting from today, the outreach programme will run till 30th January 2021.

Duare Sarkar is the unique outreach programme launched by the West Bengal government, where benefits of specified government schemes and services will be delivered to targeted beneficiaries at their doorsteps, through camps organised at the level of Gram Panchayat/ Municipality Ward.

Duare Sarkar Task forces have already been set up at the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, district, blocks and urban areas to coordinate various aspects of management of the campaign so that outreach program can be held smoothly. Control rooms will come up with at least three dedicated phone lines at the District level and one each in the Sub-Division and Block levels. Similar arrangements will be made for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, so that public gets smooth access to these nodal points.

The resources of all departments will be made available to the local administration for the purposes of Duare Sarkar including personnel, vehicles, buildings, IT infrastructure etc. Interestingly, during the entire outreach programme, several camps and pre-camp activities will be organized through different social media platforms.

The camps will provide specific services on targeted schemes. Have a look at the schemes that Duare Sarkar will cover. 

Additionally, applications related to any schemes (including Social Pensions like Old Age/Widow/Persons with Disabilities, not mentioned hereinabove) implemented by any Government Department would also be received during the course of these outreach camps for appropriate action.
