Christmas is the season of giving
Christmas, the name itself brings a feeling of festivity. For me, Christmas starts with celebrations in my school -- Carol singing and nativity play. I generally participate in the dance recital. After that starts our winter vacation. We go to Kolkata where we get to spend time with family and friends. It starts with the Christmas tree decoration and getting surprise gifts. On Christmas Day, we go to Lake Club, sort of second home for us.
We spend the entire day there and look forward to an eventful day of games, boat rides, yummy food and last but not the least, arrival of Santa Claus with the gifts. Lake Club hosts a lot of other functions as well as part of Christmas celebrations for the entire week. I also participate in them. It is so much fun. As a part of Christmas celebrations,I also take part in the annual function of Ma Sarada Seva Samity, a small NGO run by my grandmother and her friends. It is a great feeling when I perform with the students of the NGO. We give them gifts like sweaters, school bags and other goodies. The smile on their faces lights up my world and makes me feel very happy.
