Business conference on the Hooghly, anyone?
Sailing down the Hooghly in a vessel of any kind is something many of us have done at some time or other. However, not many of us would have done so on a houseboat, which looks like a plush hotel, and which can easily accommodate a business conference or formal gathering, for example, of up to 50 people. As you can see from the photos, this is one good-looking vessel!
Welcome aboard the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Ltd's newest venture, a cruise vessel offering a trip down the Hooghly. Starting from Babughat Tourism jetty, the vessel ride, depending on the tidal waves, makes its journey between Belur in the North and Khidirpur, with bookings accepted on an hourly basis, and a minimum booking time of three hours.
