Bengal government to start animation studies

Animation studies is fast catching up in India and rest of the world, and hundreds of jobs are being created each year in this sector. But an animation course in any standard private college is costly and usually out of bounds for students of lower middle class and middle-class families. As a result, many bright students are missing on this course, even if they are talented. Many are going out of Bengal to study.

Keeping this trend in mind, the state government is coming up with an IT college that will have special animation courses at a very low cost. State IT minister, Bratya Basu, the academy funded by state government will come up on a 8,500 square feet area in Sector V of Salt Lake. The government will also rope in well-known institutes of Hyderabad where animal studies happen to be the best in India.
