BREAKING NEWS! India’s longest road tunnel to be named after Shyama Prasad Mukherjee!

The Central Government announced today that it will rename India’s longest road tunnel called Chenani-Nashri tunnel as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel. Incidentally this is a state-of-the-art tunnel on Jammu Srinagar highway. It was in Kashmir that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee died under mysterious circumstances. He was always in favour of ‘Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan, Ek Nishaan’ (One constitution, one head, one symbol) in Jammu and Kashmir.

This tunnel was inaugurated in 2017. With the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the state flag has been removed and Indian National Flag is atop all government offices. Now with the renaming of the longest tunnel after Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, his martyrdom will be finally recognized after 66 years!
