JU’s Debarshi Chanda among top 10 in this year’s CAT merit list; Secures 100 percentile!

Debarshi Chanda, a pass-out from Jadavpur University has not just made us proud by securing a 100 percentile in CAT, but also by refusing to get into any management course for a plush and cushy job later. Rather, Debarshi will pursue a PhD in Economics from IIM. He has ranked among the top 10 in India this year. He believes given the current economic situation of India, it is more important to focus on India’s socio-economic development, rather than go for personal gain.

Debarshi Chanda is a resident of Khardah in North 24 Parganas and an alumnus of Rahara Ramkrishna Mission School. After ranking in West Bengal Joint Examination in 2014, he passed Electrical Engineering from JU in 2018 and went on to join a private bank as an analyst. However, he quit the job and went back to studying in JU. We congratulate this brilliant student from Bengal!
