Well, he entered the courtroom not like a man broken at his marital separation, but with a sack on his head that weighed not less than 25kg! And guess what that sack contained? The alimony money he had to pay to his wife as per court orders. Onlookers were taken by surprise when Sukamal Saha entered the Howrah court with a bag containing 24K alimony, all in coins.
It took hours for his wife and daughter to count the coins in denominations of Rs 1, 2, 5 and 10 to conclude if he paid in full. An employee of Howrah Municipal Corporation, Saha felt he had enough coins to give away as alimony.
