One of the longest serving administrators of Mohun Bagan, Anjan Mitra, who was the club secretary for more than two decades passed away today early morning. Mitra was 72 and is survived by his wife and daughter. He was suffering from heart related ailments and was admitted to hospital where he breathed his last.
Anjan Mitra’s mortal remains will be brought to the Mogun Bagan Club grounds in the afternoon before cremation. Mitra first became the General Secretary of Mohun Bagan in May 1995 and was so till 2018 when he finally stepped down due to club politics and rivalry.
