Here’s some good news for Gulzaar fans! His unreleased movie Libaas that was made in 1988 and was languishing in the archives of the Directorate of Film Festivals, will be finally released this year end. The movie has been adapted from his short story Seema and stars Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles along with Raj Babbar, Suhma Seth, Utpal Dutt, Annu Kapoor and Savita Bajaj.
It is the story of a theatre director and his wife who apparently have a picture-perfect family life. But appearances are deceptive. The music score of the movie is done by none other than RD Burman.
